Strategic Marketing Planning Packages

Self-Guided Marketing Plan

Designed for the small business or start-up business that needs to develop a marketing plan and is willing and able to:

  • do or has done most of the investigative work on the business, industry and competition
  • look at their business and competition objectively and
  • allow a marketing consultant to provide guidance and encourage detail to develop an initial marketing plan.

Goal: Minimize the investment in the marketing plan while still providing the Client with the benefit of a marketing consultant.

GWD Self Guided Marketing Planning Process

  1. Client is provided with the sets of questions from the Gathering Waters’ Marketing Planning Worksheet to complete with key business personnel. These worksheets focus on defining their current market place, target market, product and/or service offerings, competitors, etc.
  2. Completed worksheets are reviewed by the Gathering Water’s marketing consultant to identify areas in which more detail is needed or areas that need to be better defined. Once the worksheets are completed providing the detail and specifics necessary, the Gathering Waters’ marketing consultant will work on developing the initial Marketing Plan.
  3. The initial Marketing Plan is presented and discussed in detail with the client to evaluate and fine tune before finalizing.
  4. The Client is then presented with a Final Marketing Plan outlining their Target Market, Marketplace, Product/Service Offering, Unique Offering, Competition, Marketing Objective, Marketing Goal, and Sales Message.

GWD-Guided Marketing Plan
Designed for the small business to medium size business that needs to develop a marketing plan and needs assistance in:

  • developing more detail on their business, industry and competition
  • working their way through the process of analyzing their business and competition objectively and
  • developing a more detailed marketing plan

GWD-Guided Marketing Planning Process

  1. Gathering Waters’ consultant will work with the client to define the key marketing variables with the use of the Marketing Planning Worksheets. The client is provided with the sets of questions to review and complete prior to each meeting with the GWD consultant. Meetings will be scheduled with key business personnel to complete each of the worksheets within the process. These worksheets focus on defining their current market place, target market, product and/or service offerings, competitors, etc.
  2. The Gathering Water’s marketing consultant will identify areas in which more detail is needed or areas that need to be better defined during the meetings. In many cases, the detail will need to be researched and developed outside of the meeting by either the GWD consultant or a member(s) of the key personnel.
    Once the worksheets are completed with the detail and specifics necessary, the Gathering Waters’ marketing consultant will work on developing the initial Marketing Plan.
  3. The initial Marketing Plan is presented and discussed in detail with the client to evaluate and fine tune before finalizing.
  4. The Client is then presented with a Final Marketing Plan outlining their Target Market, Marketplace, Product/Service Offering, Unique Offering, Competition, Marketing Objective, Marketing Goal, and Sales Message.

  • develop a detailed marketing plan for the business.

GWD's Facilitated Marketing Planning Process

  1. The Gathering Waters' marketing professional will work with the client and their key personnel to define the key marketing variables. These variables will be defined in a number of meetings facilitated by the Gathering Waters’ marketing professional.
  2. Prior to each working session, the participants in the process will be provided with an outline of the variables that will be defined during the next session allowing the participants to prepare in advance. These variables include current market place, target market, product and/or service offerings, competitors, etc.
  3. During each session, the Gathering Waters' marketing professional will probe into each area to gain the specifics and details necessary for a comprehensive and effective marketing plan. In many cases, the detail will need to be researched and developed outside of the meeting. Much of this research will be done by the consultant and presented again for discussion and revision at the next session.
  4. Once all of the variables are completed with the detail and specifics necessary, the Gathering Waters’ marketing professional will work on developing the initial Marketing Plan.
  5. The initial Marketing Plan is presented to the participants for input and revisions. Often this requires a few sessions before the plan is ready for finalizing.
  6. A final Marketing Plan is presented outlining the Target Market, Marketplace, Product/Service Offering, Unique Offering, Competition, Marketing Objective, Marketing Goal, and Sales Message.
