Over the years, Gathering Waters has provided their expertise and talent to a number of local and national charitable organizations. Each of these organizations fills a mission that is important to the staff at Gathering Waters.

Community Involvement

  • La Crosse Area Family YMCA
    • Pam has served on the board of the YMCA from 2003 until her term will end in March of 2011
    • Pam was one of the founders of the Got Energy? La Crosse Area YMCA/Touchstone Energy Triathlon to benefit the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign
    • Pam has assisted in developing various programs for low-income minority youth including:
      • Swimming lessons for all 3rd Graders at Hamilton Elementary School of which more than 50% had never had a swim lesson.
      • A healthy living education program with La Crosse Roads School - an alternative high school within the La Crosse School District for teenagers who would not have been able to graduate from the traditional high school setting.
      • Step in 2 a New U is a program designed for minority high school students to partner them with supportive adults, provide fitness activities options as well as a weekly healthy meal so they can learn to choose and prepare healthy meals.
    • Pam served on the planning committee for the 1st Annual 30Y Bike Race in Holmen to benefit the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign
